This really is my and my wife’s very first venture using a telescope so we sought anything that wouldn’t need a big investment; wouldn’t “jiggle or shake” if bumped when in use; would be quick to handle and transport by hand and allowed us some recreational fun. This item is sturdy and simple to set up but lacks a couple of minor conveniences that could inexpensively been added by the manufacturer to enhance the user’s enjoyment. Without having detracting from our feelings that there is certainly inherent value in this item to introduce the beginner (specifically children) to astronomy, the changes would be:
(1) despite the fact that the tripod is good and firm with a locking mechanism, the removable little tray that 1 snaps within the legs to hold some from the extras just isn’t easy to put into location or get rid of;
(2) there’s insufficient guidance on how you can best utilize the infrared eye piece that’s battery powered and it’s effortless to overlook that this eyepiece battery is inside the on positon when folding up and storing it and a dead battery will ensue;
(3) there isn’t a protective cap for the 10mm or 20mm lens inserted into the eyepiece in the event you don’t always desire to need to remove and store them when not in use;
(4) a carrying situation (cloth or plastic) for storage for several bucks far more would have been a good addition…we’re still searching for something suitable. Again, overall it was worth <$100 price paid but I would have been willing to add an extra $10 or $15 for the improvements mentioned above.
IF you buy it on amazon through my link you can save $43.21 (33%)

Thanks for the info. I was at the coast and found a telescope that was well worth $400+ on sale for $99 due to new inventory and I missed it.. I could not afford it.. So folks take this info above into consideration.
I would much rather save 33% through this person rather then pay full price that is for sure.
